income support

hi all, i have just phoned income support to end my claim, as my partner is moving in.
he only works 20 hours a week and is on minimum wage.
the lady at income support said she is going to send me some forms out,as i may still be entilted to some. because he works under 24 hours per week.
i havent heard of this before as any 1 else or does any 1 no anything about it

    Its under 16 hours so you wont be entitled to income support i came off IS last year because my partner moved in with me he works full time but it stated because he works more than 16hrs i wasn't entitled

    You *may* be able to claim IS when your partner works up to 24 hours.

    Depends on her circumstances totally does the OP have children claim anything else

    It does, hence why I put *may*, though children would not be the primary factor as they are not counted in IS calculations (unless it is a very old claim). It would be more relevant if she was on IS for disability reasons, and particularly so if she is in receipt of DLA.

    My husband is on income support and gets DLA because of disability and I am allowed to work up to 24 hours a week. There is a maximum I can earn though so he wouldn't be entititled if I earnt over that.
