Thanks Tomla for your prompt reply. I have got quite a few little jobs coming through from other MS companies, React is the one I'm struggling with! Have dropped them an email anyway, and will keep my fingers crossed.

I am new to React, and think I have applied for near on 20 jobs or so in the last couple of weeks, some even the second they have been put on the board (refreshed page, and hey ho, something new) Even though those ones stay on there for days, I then get a 'sorry, this has been allocated to another shopper' email.

It took me ages to get my first assignment from them. Once it was graded (10/10 - what a swotty pants!) I've been offered more work from them.

Just have keep your fingers crossed that you'll get lucky one day.

I was in the big blue furniture store today doing a covert audit, and overheard a lady talking to two new members of staff. She was telling them the mystery shopper was due in and what questions the shopper would be asking. Made me wonder what's the point, as it'll all be perfect when the person turns up.
Here I go again on my own....
  • It took me a while to get my first job from React too and I received a lot of rejections. I've obviously proved my worth now though as I've been allocated 3 jobs this week.

I noted in the first post it states about Performance in People paying by BACS, how do I tell them my bank details?

Nothing on the shopper area on their site, the "Update Records" button just updates address details and shopping preferences etc.

    Anyone know?

I got my first job with React on my second attempt, but that was just a pure fluke. They'd allocated it to someone else but when we had all that heavy snowfall in January the shopper wasn't able to drive into town so had to cancel. I was able to pick it up after a short notice phone call, so don't give up hope on the rejected ones either, you may still get lucky.

I was in the blue electrical store today doing exit interviews for Retail Maxim, and the store manager recognised me as a shopper, as I have done assignments there in the past but covert.

He tells his team to "treat everyone like a mystery shopper" and to treat every customer with good service and that way, you wont fail the MS.

    Wise words :T
Needless to say, they have scored 100% in previous assignments and are winning area awards for their service to customers.

Good point! I was going to say that if anyone is keen for a first job with any company, it is always worth mentioning availability at short notice (e.g. if you email them or they contact you for any reason). I probably got a lot of my first jobs this way - back in the dark ages, mostly, but I am still relatively "new" with a few companies.

I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

  • Anyone know if TNS have lost the coffee jobs? Haven't seen a new wave on there for a while.
