I'm not allowed to see the clothes shops. Would somebody kindly tell me who?I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0

I know we aren't allowed to mention fees but I have a couple of questions.
How long does a general job take you? including visit and write up
How many do you get on average a month (in particular NI)
What profit are you taking per job? Are we talking £0-£10 or more.
I've flirted with doing this for a long time but have a full time job0 -
Oh Borders I got a few of my own ruins as well on GFk but i also just got an edinburgh one..
That test sucked.. it was one question that stumped me for like 10 min!0 -

I saw the computer jobs on BARE but I'm nervous to put myself down for one because of all the remembering of computers you have to do. I'd feel really suspicious if I went around muttering about the types that were out and that I'd really stand out as a MSer
Does anyone else feel like this or am I the only one? I guess with experience it gets easier but I don't quite feel I'm up to that yet. Or does anyone have any top tips?Honestly, if you went in with a notebook and wrote everything down no-one would bat an eyelid. Some other places have little tickets you can take away with the details on (like the big shop in the mall that isn't M&S).
I don't know how anyone could accuse you of looking suspicious when you're looking at spending a few £100s. They would just think you're doing your research.
Same principle for car dealers, I think it stands out more if you don't make any kind of notes!
I have done these before. As you say, it seems a bit daunting on paper. In practice, had no problem, really. I entered the different makes on my mobile before I went in and tallied the number of computers as I went round. At point where I thought I may have looked suspicious, I tallied on a leaflet and put the two lots together afterwards.0 -

I usually put all assignments together on one invoice and have never had a problem.0 -
Has this thread gone from useful, informative, and informal to sarcastic, know-it-all and elitist?
Sarcastic responses and repeated questions are a catch 22. If you provide one you get the other and someone needs to be big enough to step outside the eternal loop.0 -
Hi there,
I am new to React, and think I have applied for near on 20 jobs or so in the last couple of weeks, some even the second they have been put on the board (refreshed page, and hey ho, something new) Even though those ones stay on there for days, I then get a 'sorry, this has been allocated to another shopper' email.
Is it because I am new to them that they are choosing who they want to shop that place? How does their allocation system work? Catch 22, if I can't get an 'in', I can't increase my employability!
Any help gratefully received...

React tend to allow new shoppers in when they have a volume need or have very simple requirements, much like a probationary job. You are doing the right thing but also sometimes contacting the MS company direct just to ask if they anything they would specifically like to assign to a new shopper in your area. React have emails on their website for contact and I have always found them a very helpful bunch but its up to you if you want to take that route.
Otherwise focus on other jobs and when you weren't expecting it you will get assigned.
Good luck.
When you do get your first job with them let us all know.0
