It might be worth giving Opera Mini a go?
You can download it by searching Opera Mini (I can't post links as a "New User"!)
or search opera mini on your current browser.
I use it on my Nokia 6220 and it shows Gfk & Sassies well. Don't use Abai and never tried Gyp but probs will work. It basically loads the full internet on your phone. RE doesn't work on mine though as the screen size means the log in button gets hidden, but that works on my other default browser and I know people who can get on RE on their Opera mini.0 -

i must admit i'm tempted to just got into the o2 shop and tell them to fine me something which works better than this. It's turned itself off twice already. i see problems lolI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
Can one of you with the bank account that lets you see pending transactions let me know if Helion is showing for tomorrow?
Cheers :beer:0 -
I am now the proud owner of an iPhone, but am yet to get to grips with the Simplenote application. How do you get briefing notes and questionnaires onto the phone for when you're out and about? I've signed in with Simplenote by the way, and know it does work because I typed some jobs I need to do at home on my phone and it synced automatically with SN.
Sorry to be dim, but I'm a bit of a numpty with techology - some might call me a technophobe. Could someone who does know PM me please? Simple instructions would be much appreciated!
Many thanks.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I have realised I have made a huge error, checked my profile details with gap and noticed I had input my account number wrong (1 digit 9 instead of 0) I have emailed them but unless the person whose account the money went into is honest I am stuffed! I have emailed gap in case the money is returned but I could cry I am so cross with myself.
Usually banks don't issue account numbers so similar to each other so the payment should have rejected at the banks end. I used to work in Missing Credits department for a bank and we dealt with hundreds of these cases per week.
You could try contacting your bank today to ask them to trace the payment and apply it to your account. They usually return BACS credits to the originators bank on the day it was received (to keep their balancing account correct) so they would need to do it today.
Hope this helps0 -
I am very new to this, having only been doing mystery shops for about 2 months but it seems to me that a lot of shops almost seem to be expecting you - they seem to know what the questions are and/or when you are expected.
I did a DIY shop at the weekend and as soon as I asked the first question I felt the guy knew I was a mystery shopper. Not sure if it was just me being paranoid or suspicious, I watched and followed him when he had finished serving me (he did not know I was doing this!). He went straight to the customer services desk and spoke to someone there.
When I went to the next department to ask the second question the assistant there was busy with a customer. Almost straight away the assistant from the customer services desk came over to help even though I know she could not see me waiting from her desk! She was so over friendly it was untrue.
Then at the checkout (all of which were open when they had not been when I arrived!) every assistant gave me a big grin with 2 saying "hi".
I don't know how they know what and when the mystery shop will be as I work in retail and we only know which month our mystery shop will take place.
It seems pointless to do a mystery shop if they all know you are the shopper!
QUOTE]
I've noticed that the DIY stores have "huddles" where they are briefed on different scenarios which funnily enough us mystery shoppers then come in and test them on. I know this as I've seen their briefing notes hanging up in the relevant areas where we test them on!0 -
Sorry to quote myself, but could somebody help me with this please?
The jobs are part of a rolling project which means most of them were assigned at the start of the year. It was from a company that assigns by email, so ensure you're signed up to the ones on the first page.catkins wrote:It seems pointless to do a mystery shop if they all know you are the shopper!
It seems unlikely they knew exactly when you were coming but perhaps you asked such an unlikely question you gave yourself away. In one store I used to work in we knew in advance roughly what the questions would be about. However, while in this case it sounds a tad unusual, the cynicism in this thread can occasionally be depressing to someone like me (and you, if you've worked in retail) who used to work as hard as possible along with my colleagues to provide the best service to everyone. If you treat your customers properly then you'll probably pass your mystery shop, but more importantly you'll have a more positive day!0 -

These payments do seem inconsistent. As I said above, mine is showing in my Santande account today. Do Helion do the payments in batches?0 -

The question was not an unlikely one at all in the DIY store. In fact another customer was asking another assistant a similar question!
I just don't know how they seem to have so much information. As I say, I work in retail and we have no idea what question is likely to be asked by the mystery shopper. We do know what month is will take place (we only have them every other month) but noidea of when in the month.
We only know when we get the results what the question was!! Sometimes one of us serves a customer and says "That might have been the mystery shopper" but so far we have never been right! The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0
