Just seen a lovely message left on my job board from JKS saying how good my last job was for them. I feel about 8 years old and very proud of myself.

I have quite a few jobs on the go at the mo, probably a few more than I feel comfortable with, but need all the cash I can get cos have booked some time of work so that we can have a week or two away this year. The most I'm doing are the GKS ones - maybe we should have a competition....:D

Not with React, but I released a job this morning from RE because I'm sure the fee went down. It would have ended up costing me money because the reimbursement didn't cover anything in store.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

    Actually Yes.

Admittedly there are few(er) opportunities from Scotland but there are MS CO's that are gearing up for the next "wave" of jobs Oct-Dec.

Have you signed up with (and worked for) all the Co's on the first page?

Personally I think they're absolute hell and because it's an hourly rate it ends up being less than the same amount of time spent MSing.

Did one of these last week, it took three hours with no break and was a relatively small one, I have another one tomorrow that's bigger, it's filling me with fear and dread... I think after this one I may not do any more of them!!!

Did quite well with the first one only cut myself seven times on the cardboard boxes, only bled on one poster and the floor standing thing only fell apart twice while I was there :rotfl: I'd say that was a result :D

I'm sure the floor standing thing has probably been relegated to the bin by now... Sellotape strips don't hold cardboard together very well... whoever designs these POS stands has obviously never built one!

PS - Take note of the instructions, if you're short you will need some step ladders or something to stand on, the holders for the posters are in some really awkward places... :(

    I agree
The first one I did, I was told that the display had to go near the main door...nope, the Manager disagreed and it ended up in some obscure part of the store. I was then told that if it was not restocked by my company quickly enough it would get thrown in the bin!
The 2nd one there was a bomb scare! I sat outside on the wall for over an hour talking to the staff. I was then told the store would not reopen until the next day. I took a pic of the closed store and I did get paid for the visit but only the original fee, no waiting time plus I had to go back the next day
The 3rd time I was sent to see how a fresh fruit display was going..I was met by a very irate manager who insisted I took photo`s of all the rotten fruit that had been delivered the day before......
    I never did anymore!

I struggled with these. I'm only 5'4" and the branch didn't have step ladders, so I was trying to balance on chairs and desks. Not very health and safety :o

I didn't do anymore after that.
Here I go again on my own....
