eh? Video reports from TNS? - just received following email:

    Dear
We are venturing forth into the realm of video reports and would like to know if you would like to take part in this. We are proposing that in addition to your normal assessment you provide a short, 2-3 minute video of yourself summarising your assessment and highlighting key points. This would then be included with your written report to the client.
You would need to own or have open access to equipment or a device to video yourself and have the ability to upload the video to a designated website.
For including the short video you would receive an additional fee.
If you are interested then please fill out the below and return to this email address:-
    Name: ________________
    Fieldworker ID:________________
    Email Address: ________________
We will confirm back to you if we require any of your assessments to include a video report.
    Many thanks,
    TNS RI Mystery Shopping Team

I really cannot see what purpose these could serve. Anyone have any ideas?

Glad we see eye to eye on something ;)

Try the Hazelnut filled biscuits - pretty tasty with a cup of coffee at home I find. Other good things to stock up on include coffee beans, ground coffee and more or less anything else in sight :p

The chocolate Panettone makes a mean base for a chocolate trifle!!:)

Me neither but since you asked, I pondered...

Maybe TNS are trying to compete with other MS companies and just think this might give them the edge. I understand in general terms clients pay a higher fee for a video MS than for a report based one, so maybe they are trying to get into the video market but charge lower fees than MS companies who deal exclusively in video MSing.

I really don't know, that's just an initial thought.

I can't really see what the client will gain from seeing a shopper talking to camera over what they would get from a well written report. Also if they are interested in video MS I would have thought it would be of greater benefit for them to see their own staff, not the shopper.

    Interesting question.

I think because people cut n paste their comment this gives a personal response.

    I don't cut and paste!

Does that make me stupid or conscientious????

Two to three minutes is quite a long time to talk to a camera.

Will be difficult to say different things for some of the more straightforward assignments.

Feels like an unnecessary gimmick to me and a bit much to perform for the cameras. I can act in my Mystery shopping role but for talking directly about the experience directly to camera I would need direction from Speilburg!

    Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if Retail Active send invoices for me to complete to be paid or do I just send them email with the jobs i've done. I've looked on the first page and on Retail Active website but cannot find anything.

    Thanks

You have to invoice them. So yes, just send an email with dates and jobs with the fees they have agreed with you. I have found they pay very promptly on receipt of your invoice.

Neither. It makes your reports stand out and mean something.

Each report should be written seperately as it's a different experience everytime.

But just occasionally an outlining template comes in handy.
