I know there's been a lot on here the last couple of days about Gyp (and RE), but I wouldn't work for Gyp out of principle now. They make people feel terrible when they sack them for no reason. Nobody likes getting the sack from anywhere, particularly when you don't even get told why! And while I agree that there are some bad assignments (and people) at RE, they're not all bad and at the end of the day it is self selection and I know I certainly pick and choose my jobs with them as some are awful.

At the end of the day everyone is different, so the contact you have with each MS Company can vary each time. As you say self select allows individuals to choose who they do or do not work for and what jobs to choose.
I see comments on here about several companies and yet I never have a problem, on the other hand I have the odd problem with companies others rate very highly. It just goes to prove we are all different.

The surest sign that there is intelligent life in the universe is that they haven't contacted us yet:D

Big excitement!! Been with a dining company for ages and not managed to get many dines, but had a few in May, and got good feedback- have just reached the next level up and instantly- up popped a new dine, only need a couple more then I'm up the next level- will be cruising in the Bahamas soon (in my dreams)

If it's who I think it is I can't seem to get my 1st job with them, and now they've gone self allocation it's almost impossible. :(

Are these the Gap jobs where you make an enquiry re DVLA and make a purchase. Are they quick and easy as they don't seem to pay much, and does everyone buy stamps?

Yes they are quick and easy in my experience and the questionnaire is short. Sometimes I buy stamps, sometimes I send a parcel if I have anything to send, and last time I just bought stationery.

Can you clarify please, do you get any/full reimbursment if you go the POP route ?

Well, knew it was only a matter of time but got it officially confirmed today that I can no longer shop the stamp jobs. No explanation. Never missed an assignment, always submit on time but the last one was not as glowing as it could have been. That's me and Gyp parting ways as I'm also not allowed to do the burgers.
Don't lose heart. I used to do loads of stamp jobs then I got the "You are no longer required as we are varying the people doing these jobs" etc etc. About a year later they phoned about another job (probably begging me to do a burger!) and I mentioned I couldnt see the stamp jobs anymore and they re-set it, and I've been doing them ever since.

I've not even managed to sign up to this company (if it's the obviously named one) they don't need anyone in my area.

I will however upset you as I am going cruising in the Bahamas in November! I am so excited!
