I've given up on surveys for that exact reason, I was answering 10 minutes worth of questions on some occasions, before it told me I did not fit the criteria. That was VO, Ciao and Toluna (the last 2 have joined forces now).
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Yep I stopped doing the surveys for precisely that reason! My OH does them now though and he seems to do ok with them. I'm almost at my £50 for yougov!!!! I'm so proud, it's only taken me about 4 years haha.

i like reward opinions, valued opinions used to phase me out all the time and stopped doing them but started again and they have all been ok.

I didn't even need the post, the barker was already in place!

I did one that had two barkers. Deliberated about taking one away ......

Did anyone else experience problems with store at a complete standstill while (seemingly) ALL staff took late lunch breaks to watch blasted football???
I've been thinking this for a while but do the company who cannot be named have an 'A' list and a 'B' List?????

Got an email a while ago but all the 'good' stuff was already (think i got the left overs of what the others didn't want)

And then you lot go on about stuff when i haven't had an email at all.

These jobs are definitely not A list/B list. I am a relative newbie to this company. I helped them out with a previous wave, so it looked like I got these by default.

I think they have their regulars who've been with them for longer and they get offered stuff first. At least that's what I assume happens, as there are some jobs I don't get offered at all, and others there are only certain time slots left. I think it depends on the allocator too - I suppose once you've done more for them and proved you are reliable, etc. then you've more chance of being offered the good stuff. But I've found I do get offered more, the more I do for them (though I didn't get an email about that last one either!).

In all honesty, I don't mind companies that work like that... hopefully in time I will move up the list and be one of the first choices! Rather that than FFF all the time...

I suspect they have regulars who do most of their work, with newer shoppers being offered what the regulars can't do.

I know in my area there are alot of regular audits but I've only been asked to cover them occasionally, whereas some of the new stuff I seem to either get first dibs or the 'left overs' I pretty much assume I'm earning brownie points for reliability/accuracy and will get more stuff when the 'main' local person can't do jobs. Gonna be great fun trying to break in to the new area when I move in August.

I think there are even more distinctions than that to be honest.

As with all companies that aren't FFF each allocator will have their favourites, people they trust to be reliable, dependable and accurate.

I do a lot of work for this company and always do an excellent job. I know this because they tell me so. I didn't get any of these POS jobs that have been mentioned either.
It's horses for courses really. Just take what you can comfortably do, do it well and on time. This applies to all companies not just this one.

I agree with all of that, sf and scuba (and summed-up perfectly by msninja).

It's what gets said on here repeatedly about building reputation.

Essentially, when I'm new to a company, I accept anything and everything where at all possible. Once they know the measure of me, and I start getting offered decent and/or better paid work, I become a bit more selective!

Slightly off subject, I've been doing surveys to assist with the lack of MS shopping assignments and I'm becoming a bit annoyed with Va---- Op
, after completing about 6 'precise questions with very important answers' it says 'sorry you do not meet the criteria' or something similar, therefore no payment given for this, but I'm sure the information is used. Does anyone else find this on a regular basis with VO?

Oh yes, I was finding that a lot so I binned them. Not worth the bother.

There have been times when gyp have had a moan at the shopper that they should go following the meal. Presumably to give the restaurant time to clean them after the receipt give away.

I did one in the wrong slot last week, got the floor show. Went back this week in the right slot, crap service, crap food and it was that dirty I felt sick. Result I'd say. Waiting for the queries to land in my inbox now lol.
I did one last week and as I stood in the queue waiting (the staff were chatting to each other and having such fun as we waited) I hadn`t asked for a receipt yet!.......a customer came to the counter and complained that the toilets were disgusting and refused to let the child use them! The manager said he would get someone to check in a while as they were busy...well...3 customers is a rush!!
Cue me getting served and "Can I have a receipt please?"
I think they are now gonna enter a team in the 2012 Olympics.
All this and trying to keep a straight face as I sat eating my meal.............priceless :rotfl:
