Did a gap drive through, now I understand what you mean by floor show or drive in show. For the first time in years and years (before I mystery shopped), somebody stood in the drive in queue taking orders, they then went to the cashier and blatantly pointed to me. And yes I got a receipt without asking. This is ridiculous and seems to make a bit of a mockery, they must be tipped off.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

    Hello everyone,
I have just started mystery shopping (did a few to see if I liked it!) and am now thinking I should be tracking these for tax etc. I saw from the first page there is a spreadsheet I can request from Josie, but I don't know her and thought it might be weird just to pm her out of the blue. Can anybody point me in her direction?!!
    Thank you,
    Julie xx

I disagree again with this, I've done many of these and have yet to receive a floor show and I nearly always have to ask for a receipt. The business know that they get shopped but they only know that it could be am/lunch or pm.

The food order is a normal order for lots of people and we don't have to ask any questions so they wouldn't be abe to 'guess' until after service and requesting a receipt as you have to do this after receiving your order at the client's request. I think sometimes we feel we have been 'caught' but it's not necessarily so. Maybe they just do provide good service... most of the time...!!!!

On another note, how disappointed was I receiving an email informing me that I had been paid by bacs for Abai.. no more waiting for the postman.. bit sad really....

I remember someone (Might have been Monkey?) 3 or 4 threads ago said they were doing a burger job and the drive through window was positioned so you could see the screen and next to their order was written 'Gapbuster' so I think sometimes they can tell. Especially if you've been doing it long enough for them to recognise your car/face.

Totally off topic but can anyone tell me what "Podiatry" is, I have done two shops in the past week where the "shop to the right" has been one of these, I assume something do do with feet???
  • Okay... So one of the Gap burger jobs that's come up is my local high street one, and it's asking for a breakfast drive-thru. In a pedestrianised high street.

    Hmm....
