    Hi.
I've not posted on this thread before, but read the introductory posts which have been helpful while i have started mystery shopping in the past few months.

I just did a job for RE that has been queried and i thought it would be best to get an opinion from here before i get back to them.

The job was for a food outlet in a shopping centre. The address was given on the sheet. It also had an additional instruction that it was upstairs. When i got to the shopping centre, i looked all over upstairs for the outlet and there wasn't one, however there was one on the downstairs with that address. I tried ringing up but it was Sunday and no-one in the office answering the phone.

I got a message back today saying the proof reader has read my report and from the receipt i have visited the wrong store. Would i do it again.

I replied explaining why i went to this store, and also had to say i couldn't redo it as i am going on holiday and won't be back for a couple of weeks.

Has anyone experience of anything like this? My concern is i won't get paid or reimbursed for my costs, when in fact i feel that i did as asked and went to the outlet at the address given. It is hardly my fault they gave me the wrong address when there are 3 outlets of this chain at this shopping centre. Any advice how to argue my case, or do i just chalk it to experience?

Any help at all appreciated as i don't know what to expect really.

I've got a map of the shopping centre which can be checked online and there are 3 locations there.

Just sent you a PM Jen. Thank you.

Hey seems RE got their address's crossed.. but i do see a unit where they are talking about it is confusing. RE can be bad for that~!

Thanks for your time and advise Jen.

I guess i have learned my 1st lesson. Double check before i go that all is as it should be. I will take your advice though and stand my ground. After all, its not my error. Worst case scenario i was there doing another job anyway so not as out of pocket as i could have been, plus we ate yummy food we wouldn't normally have done.

I was going to do the other outlet that i thought they might mean too, but my DH was with me and said surely the address was the most fundamental bit of the whole instruction. I agreed.

I can see the big London based one, but i have also seen 3 other high st department stores that i would normally shop in recently too. I don't think i would dare step foot in the london one. ;)
