WARNING! There is no money to be made from mystery shopping whatsoever!
Not if you are me anyway! :rotfl:
Just done a mystery shop at a clothes store in my lunch hour and although the brief said to make a purchase, I can return it at a later date. The brief also stated to try on an item in the fitting room, so I grabbed something in my size and tried it on for a laugh. I only blinking fell in love with the dress, didn't I! Then checked the price tag and nearly fainted! Nearly £100! Loved it so much, I bought it. Not the first time this has happened on a ms shop! The best part was the assistant asking if I had bought it for a special occasion! Just going to have to do a lot of ms jobs to pay for it. Think I'll avoid the burgers tho. Want to fit in my expensive dress! The best part was the assistant asking if I had bought it for a special occasion!0 -

There should be on-line training in self-discipline for these jobs!!
I find that the best way to do these is to go into another favourite shop first and try on something I really like in there. If I can overcome temptation in the first shop (no real reason to make a purchase in there) I tell myself I can do the same in the second shop.:D0 -
I had actually planned to buy some sandals and use my ms fee towards them and then pay the extra. I knew how expensive this shop was, so I did some research on the internet to find a cheap item to buy in case I fell in love with it and did not want to return it. Plan failed big time! This blinking shop caught me out back in April. Should have had the willpower!0

I always make sure I don't like the item that I try on, or even worse I try something thats a size too small. I think the lesson is to remove temptation of all sorts, that way I don't need to rely on my very rocky willpower
I'm sure you deserve it though pennies so enjoy :TCouldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can

I do this too, although most of the time I don't actually try anything on, I take the time to fill in a few notes and check if there is anything I've missed. Much cheaper0 -
LOl I go into the shops with a full bladder I have less patience to like something then i just do my job and go haha0

I've just done the same shop. I had a little more willpower. Bought a flower for my hair. Was feeling guilty at that but not anymore,
thanks :beer:I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Yep, me too, I generally take the item off the hanger, put it back not quite so perfectly, and key my notes into my phone for a couple of minutes!!
However, I have never yet returned an item to the 'non-human' clothes store, or the 'heavy rain' one.0 -

Not sure whether mine was a "heavy rain" or "non human" shop but the dress I tried on was £380!!! I loved that dress but didn't love it enough to pay almost my rent on!!!:j:j0
