Avast 5 virus protection

Anyone using Avast 5 virus protection please?

Anyone know if I should be upgrading from the Avast 4.8 I am running at the moment (home edition)?

Any thoughts on this please?

    Hi,

    no harm in updating, I've been using it for some time now and no problems, it's got a cleaner fresher look about it, I'm on version 5.0.545.

    i agree i have been using it for a while now and i much prefer the look and feel of the new one
    Drop a brand challenge
    on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
    30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

    There were initially a lot of problems with 5.0, and many stayed with 4.8 (as I have). There have been several attempts to correct the many problems - but not with total success. Might be an idea if you look over on the Avast forums, and see what problems are still being experiened.
