Ecover Washing Liquid - Price Hike!

Hi all,

Just noticed that Sainsbury's and Tesco have both hiked the price of Ecover washing liquid up to around £4:39 for a bottle, when it used to be about £3:89. Does anyone know where you can get this cheaper now?

Thanks in anticipation!

They used to issue vouchers on request when you sent them an email. Not sure if they do anymore.

    £3.80 on the Tesco website?

Ecover washing up is strong enough to be watered down 50/50, makes it last a very long time.

OP is on about laundry liquid, not washing up liquid, Tesco have now corrected the online pricecheck, unless Penrhyn was reffering to the online home shopping/delivery price???

Can I ask OP to confirm the old bottles were also 1.5L ?

Yes it was the home shopping price, wonder why its different to the instore price?

  • Thanks for all the replies. Yes, the bottles are 1.5 litres. It does say new, improved formula, but I guess this is meaningless.

Interesting point made about watering it down. Forgive my ignorance, but what would be the best way to do this? In the measuring ball as I put it in the washing machine, or top up a half full bottle with water?

Sorry, I thought you meant the washing up liquid, I'd just try using half the amount of the washing liquid in the washing machine and see how it goes, just experiment untill you find the smallest ammount you can get away with.
  • No worries on the misunderstanding, thanks for your advice. I'll see how it goes!
