AQUA credit card

Having a much less than perfect credit record and needing a card for business trips I applied for one of these and was promptly turned down, I was shocked, especially after reading that they lend to almost anyone, I have recent copies of my credit reports which list two defaults (due to drop off next month) and a CCJ which is satisfied and due to drop off next September.

Could it be because I don't have any other searches on my record, I'm not really sure what to do next, try Capital one or someone else, am I likely to get turned down by them I wonder?

I know you guys can't tell me why just thought worth posting to see if it happened to anyone else.

i would also look at the barclays inital card as they have high apr but are easier to get than normal rate cards , it might be a idea to hang on till the default next month comes off because 1 default looks a lot better than 2 , hope this helps
