Dower and Hall - praise

Hi
Just wanted to relate my recent experience with the jewellers, Dower and Hall.
We had a revenue card for underpaid postage from Royal Mail, asking us to collect something from the sorting office.
It was 1p underpostage and we had to pay a £1 surcharge to find it was a brochure from Dower and Hall, so not really very important.
OH has bought me shiny things from them for me
in the past and they have always been very helpful, even repairing a charm bracelet several times for no charge.
I rang them on Friday to let them know politely, that they were sending mail out with insufficient postage. They explained what had happened (franking machine had run out and the stamp was to the same value but apparently not enough for RM
) and a few people had already had this problem - apologised very nicely.
Then they offered a £20 gift token to say sorry for the trouble!
And it arrived by Special Delivery yesterday morning - their customer service is excellent
