you could try .......... one of the branches closet to ground lay it flat on earth and cover with soil
but i have found that bleeding hearts tend to throw up their own shoots and make good ground cover.

Yup, just split it in the autumn before it dies off completely and it should be fine. We've got 2 large ones, one white, one pink, and they're both ready for splitting this back end. They are gorgeous plants!0
