    If you do not wish to continue with your claim you can just allow it to lapse.

    You can cancel at any time by writing to them or letting the timeframe lapse - however think about it before you do - they are not asking for much and it is essential to ensure entitlement.

    I thought that could be the case as the letter gave that impression.
    I was just worried as somebody told me I had to state it all in writing.

    I understand they need it before they can proceed but I know we could manage and if DH manages to get extra hours and I get something then we won't need to be on it.
    Its a godsend its there for a blanket but I have never claimed before so is all jargon to me and I know I would spend all my time worrying that they were making mistakes with overpayments etc

    I am also taking an open uni course so as to better our prospects.
    I just never knew it would take this long and they would be needing all info all over again.
    And then we don't know if we would be staying here in a few months anyway .
