HELP....

Ok, been really silly, I had a car on HP the car a few months ago was a wreck, needed so much work so I scrapped it... no receipt or anything.

I then realised a few weeks back that your not able to do this when a vehicle is on HP, so contacted the 'scrappy' and never had any response as wanted to get the car back as I dont want to be doing anything that isnt allowed.

Just been looking at cars randomly.... and came accross 'the car' for sale by some random person....

What the hell do I do? Can I get the car back and sort out this problem

I know I have been stupid but I honestly didnt realise you couldnt sell or scrap a car on HP, please help me and not shout as never used this site before and really want to sort this out

Thank you

Worried and stressed Me....:(

Keep paying the HP money and I am sure the finance people won't even notice.

Thats just it, Im behind on payments too, I have made such a bad mistake and as soon as I realised I couldnt sell it (like I did to the scrap yard) I tried to resolve the matter....

Basically they agreed to scrap it and have sold it on and now they are selling it...

I dont want to leave it till its too late as I have a contact number for the current car owner - if I can call them that??

What do I do :( I feel so sick right now :(

This is going to be quite brutal...

You have sold something that doesn't belong to you.

I imagine the owner (the finance company) will at some time soon ask you quite forcibly for some more money.

My advice is to start saving.

Even though you sold something that doesn't technically belong to you, there is nothing you can do to get the car back other than buy it back (obviously not feasible as you have said you are struggling to make the repayments on the finance that is still outstanding).

Presumably the car is worth next to nothing given the finance that's on it so may be worth a call to see what you can get it back for.

Is this a troll post? I'm sorry but it's not the single error of selling a car with HP but the lack of following registration rules, finding it again, etc...
