Windows 7 Gadgets :@

Hi,

I have this problem with the gadgets. I tried adding some new ones from microsoft live website and they either came up white , blank , black or the red cross in a square.

First i thought they might be dodgy gadgets, so i put the standard gadgets on (CPU monitor , calender etc.) and these also didnt work. Last september i installed a Modern warefare 2 Countdown (yes a bit sad) i dragged this onto the desktop and it worked although it said -190 days which would be right. This was the only gadget i had ever used.

So i did a little browsing on the internet and people had success with registering dll's - Tried this and it didnt work. Another problem came back to Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 after unistalling it. Someone had said to use the removal tool . Didnt have any success except after a reboot, i could know longer get into the gadgets program.

After a little hunting around i went to program & features disabled Windows gadgets , rebooted , Re-enabled it and rebooted it. I could get back into the gadgets program. But still the Gadgets are not working except the mw2 countdown.

I wrote to the Kaspersky forum , but i have had no luck. So i'm asking this techie forum if anyone can help.
