Hi,
I live in a housing association house and the gas central heating has only been installed about 2 years or so, anyways i am with npower for my gas and i want a card meter put in but they say because the meter isnt owned by transco they cant do it, so i was wondering if there is anyother way to do it?
TIA xx

Can't understand why you would want a pre-payment meter as it will cost you over £60 per year before you actually use any gas! see this thread If the meter isn't owned by transco, you probably can't have one anyway, which I suppose is understandable for a housing association where one tenant may want one and the next would then want it removed!

i hardly use gas anyway and my bill are at the moment £46 a month, i cant afford this as i'm going back on to benefits as a lone parent, some of this is debt but it still seems high:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

Supply them with an actual meter reading and you should get an up to date bill showing your current balance and any debt. They may be able to change the DD to a lower figure if you are not using much gas and due to your change in circumstances. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
