BoS Reward current account. Works with Halifax Reward account

Some of you may remember the previous thread about the Halifax reward current account where early adopters could open more than 1 of the account for an easy few £5 a month. Some clever people even worked out that you could open an additional 3x BoS ones but that loophole was soon closed.
It seems that BoS have relaunched their reward account and even if you have 3x Halifax Reward accounts you can still open an additional 3x BoS ones as well.

3 Bos to complement existing 3 Halifax ones now! Tried for a 4th but that came us as needing more investigation rather than instantly opening like the other.
Thought this might be of interest...

Still looks like exactly the same account to me.
It has the same T+Cs as the Halifax Reward which state you can only hold one sole and one joint account. Page 14 Section 2 Special Conditions.

If you have managed to open 3 BOS Reward accounts in addition to existing HBOS Reward accounts don't be surprised if they are closed down soon.0 -
Will see what happens but its worth a punt anyway.0

I already have 2 halifax and 1 BOS reward accounts and was denied anymore when I applied for another one 6 months ago. I just tried applying on the BOS website for another reward account and I got a sort code and account number and am waiting for an "application decision". Surely I wouldnt have got an account number if I was refused so here's hoping for another £5 a month.

They give a sort code and account number upon application.
You may still be refused the account.
Their online application doesn't appear to check whether or not you have existing Reward accounts so you may be successful but it is likely that they will write to you later informing you that the account is closed.
Some people have managed to have 4 Reward accounts open.0 -
I have2 X Reward Accounts & an URCA, all of which are with Halifax.
What do you thinks, folks - is it worth giving a BOS one a go...?0 -
Its worth a try I reckon0

I've had an account number etc for weeks, but they won't finish the process ( I have the limit of Halifax Rewards Accts). But I'd like to know if you find a way....0
-
What do you mean by wont finish? I opened 3 BoS last night and got instant account and sort codes. I can see them in the online banking.
The 4th one I applied for has 'application decision' next to it and isnt active.0 -
Interesting - have you been able to put money into them? Keep us updated, I'd love to get another one.0
-
Yes, I transferred money in and out of them this morning to 'activate' them (not that I need another set of bank cards or cheque books)
