Switching DD query

Hi all
In the process of switching accounts (to Halifax), and I'm using their switching service to transfer a couple of DD's (also receive the £50 switching bonus).
The DD's have just appeared on my Halifax online banking, great! But... the reference numbers for both direct debits are completely different to what they were on my Santander account (they were correct when Halifax sent me the 'confirming' letter however).
Given they've just appeared is there a possibility it's just because they're still setting it up? Don't want to end up paying someone elses bills!
