I am planning to ask them for the necessary week off as soon as kids go back in Sept. I don't think it will be a problem as its a bit of a holiday of a lifetime and not just a week in Ibiza. I think perhaps the week before Easter hols will be better as they always wind down at the end of a term. (my personal opinion;) )And then the kids will be back to school on the same day back as everyone else for new Spring term.0 -

You'll also have to allow a bit of time for them to get over the jet lag before they go back to school, otherwise they will start falling asleep at lunchtime.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Ok - been searching web all night
best price I had come up with was with Thomas Cook, flying with Malaysian Airlines via Kuala Lumpar total for five people £3894 inc tax (avg. £778 each)
BUT...
have just found something astonishing and need advice PLEASE
have found a flight with Korean Air (never heard of them before) London to Auckland via Seoul £2898 (avg £579 each!!)
Can someone please tell me something about Korean Air because that price sounds amazingly cheap - basically I am wondering is there a reason they are cheaper and is it not worth saving the money ?????0 -
Take a look at the airquality site richardw posted http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/korean.htm some reviews on them
seems very good feedbackIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Hi
I went to NZ a while back and I travelled with Garuda Indonesia, flying with them was very cheap. I did this with an overnight stay in Bali on the way out and also on the way home. Garuda does not have the best reputation (apparently), but my experience with them was very good. I could go as far to say that it was one of my best flights.

Worth looking into as they were the cheapest provider by far when I travelled out that way.

Thanks Phil, will take a look
most tempting at the moment is the Korean air - could really do with some personal experiences from someone - have read the reviews on that site but a lot of them are from people who travelled in business class. I want to know what Economy is like:rolleyes:
Air New Zealand are offering reasonable prices with their special offer at the moment but Korean cheaper by approx £1000 total prices.
What to do0 -
How many stops is it with Korean Air?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
