Evening gardeners
I took delivery of 3 dwarf fruit trees today, and the Gala tree which is almost 2 foot tall seems to have blossomed quite profusely.
My question is - I've never ever grown any sort of tree before let alone a fruit tree. Is it best I nip off the blossom in order to let it grow stronger for next year or leave it be? There is quite a lot on it with a lot of leaves. The other 2 are just sticks though at the moment!

Leave it. You will lose some through natural causes. You can also thin the fruit with scissors later on once you see how much has set. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Always thought you removed all fruit for the first year . But I had to save just the one apple , last year . After buying an expensive fan shaped ergmont russet tree , that one apple cost me over thirty pounds. Hope my investment pays back this year.0

I got all 3 trees for about £20, looking forward to learning about pruning and the like. Weird to see blossom on a 30cm high apple tree!Ahhhh.... lemony fresh victory is mineee!!!0

Likewise, I have two cherries on my Sunburst tree planted last Autumn, that is over £7.50 each, they had better be tasty
I also have a promise of 3 figs on my two year old, £4 Lidl tree, so they will be a much cheaper than the cherriesEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
