Hsbc to hsbc fps

Hey..

Iv just made a transfer from my hsbc to a friends hsbc account.

iv sent £1050 via online banking it said on the last page the payment is sent immediately, but my friend checked her account the money is in the account but she cant withdraw..?

Anyone kno why that is happening..

Internal payments don't go by Faster Payments with HSBC. They are simply transferred from one account to the other internally.

How is it that she can't withdraw the money? Won't it let her or is it just her available balance that is too low?

I suspect that you are right about the available balance. Internal transfers take seconds to go through at any time of day or night.
