I have a tosh lappy which will be 3 years old in August yet the batt seems to have failed. It shows charging..then fully charged but when you pull the power plug,it works for a while showing slow discharge i.e 99% 95% then it suddenly falls over after about 5 minutes and drops to 5% then nothing!
I havent used the batt much and have kept it plugged in most of the time which prob hasnt helped though it is Li On battery.
How long should i expect it to last?
Any recommendations for a replacement source?

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

tbh 3 years lifespan for a laptop battery isn't so bad, particularly if you've kept it plugged in all the time. Try eBay for a replacement, it's often cheaper to buy from a Hong Kong dealer than buy retail in the UK.poppy100

Just noted lots on offer on Ebay....bit worried about quality/spec of non branded replacements. I bought a laptop battery from Hong Kong - it actually worked pretty well and was a slightly higher capacity than the orginal. It was still going strong when I sold the computer.0

I've never had any issues with third party generic laptop batteries. Just check the feedback rating for the eBay seller and check they have been around for a while. You should be fine.poppy100
