Just for info i recently got stranded abroad by the volcanic ash cloud and was due to stay 2 noghts in Travelodge to run the London Marathon on my return, because of the 4 day delay I missed it but thought well at least I'll get my money back?
Not a chance "read the small print mate" it only counts if you're delayed in England. Wonder what other get out clauses they have to avoid paying out £115. Be warned don't buy this insurance they are affiliated with Atlas Insurance and Heath Lambert so avoid them also I hope this post costs them more than £115 in lost business :mad:

We thought we were covered for cancellation of 2 nights at Durham Travelodge last December when the heavy snow hit.
Finally had a letter yesterday from Atlas Insurance saying we're not covered as it was a 'Saver Rate' room booking.
We asked them why the Travelodge website offered cancellation insurance AFTER we'd placed the 'Saver Rate' room booking?
More weak excuses so we told them we're posting this experience on Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert Forum.
They then said they'd be sending a form to us and that they'd be reviewing the claim.
Not counting our chickens but.......power to the people??0 -
My father booked a travelodge room and took the insurance, he sadly died before the check in date.
I submitted a claim for a refund, as death was covered, that was over 2 months ago, I called Travelodge who said that they cant find the claim (Including an original death certificate), it was recorded mail, they say it must be in a pile of unopened mail and that they would get to it in time.
Needless to say, they have not got to it
What a scam, what a pointless non customer focused service to promote to extract money0 -

To be fair, they are not saying no to your claim, they are simply saying that for whatever reason they cannot locate the claim forms you sent. Have you asked them to send some more claim forms and a prepaid envelope?Best Regards
