HSBC Student Freebie for current HSBC account holder

Hi
I've got an HSBC current account, it's a student account. I notice they are offering an MP4 player free to new accounts but as I was supposed to receive a rail card at the start but didn't (and didn't need one anyway as the coach is cheaper).
I've asked them already for the £50 cash alternative but they claim they've already paid for the railcard but I'll have to pay again to get a "replacement".
I've just sent them a message via the internet banking system to say that I'd like to opt for the MP4 otherwise I'll consider taking my finances elsewhere.
Any other ideas you can add, or has anyone done this successfully?? I remember reading about someone who wanted to do this but can't find the post now :rotfl:
