Shortterm rent , hence i need to deposit the balance from my house sale

Im moving home in the next few weeks and wont going to my new home till jAN . Hence i need to use the equity earned to bring me in some money for the rent of a shortterm property .
I shall be walking away with £173k , whats the best thing i should do with the money . I need to be able to access it at any time in case i get a early completion date for my new home . My rent will be £650 per month .
Any advice would be greatly welcomed . I notice that some banks etc add interest yearly , thats not going to suit me . I basically want somwhere with a good rate that adds my interest every month or better still every week .
thanks
