dispute with neighbour over our builder -help!

Don't tell me you have never used a forum before.
No I havent and its precisely because of people like you.
The fact that this causes you SO much grief even after I've explained myself is pathetic especially since you havent even contributed to the thread in any way.0 -
If you think I am joking as regards costs be mindful of legal fees of at least £170 per hour from solicitors and for example a dispute case I am dealing with for original building works costing less than £1500 has already racked up £10,000 in fees from all involved and we haven't even got to court yet. If your neighbour decides to start playing difficult then inital costs that could have saved the day may be a drop in the ocean to what costs can be incurred when neighbours fall out. Kindest regards, David
These are very wise words-thankyou David0 -

Neighbours do not have to give permission.
But access can be gained via:
Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 see at:

If you have not used forums because of people like me, how did you know about us???? And if you did know we don't like cross posting, why did you do it? As for not contributing, you've had good answers already, so why should I waste my time? And you have probably wasted the time of a few good people anyway by crossposting.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I have wasted hours and hours answering newbies and not-so-newbies questions only to find they have posted the same question on another part of the board and already had a perfectly good answer. If you have not used forums because of people like me, how did you know about us???? This is my last response to you.
do not flatter yourself by assuming "you"meant the moneysaving expert forum.
I lurk on forums-never had the need to post before so dont act like you own the forum.
If you waste so much time responding to newbies-which you once were ,then dont-and if you see a cross posting which traumatises you so badly-do you HAVE to go on that thread too?
cross posting can be a sign that someone may have posted in the wrong forum and not had any responses there.
Don't give this forum and most of the people who contribute to it a bad name.
you are diverting me from the thread and whatever you say next-will be on deaf ears.

My advice stays the same on both threads.
A bunch of flowers, a box of chocolates and a conrite demenour and get your chequebook out before it escalates. You're in the wrong on this one."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Good luck all

ysj, if you were decent about this, you would at least ahve told people you were crossposting.DVardysShadow wrote: »Don't tell me you have never used a forum before.DVardysShadow wrote: »I have wasted hours and hours answering newbies and not-so-newbies questions only to find they have posted the same question on another part of the board and already had a perfectly good answer.

Honestly DVardysShadow was there any need? I would expect somebody new to the forums to make a few mistakes, like i'm sure you did when you first started out.
To be completely honest somebody with over five thousand posts on the forum should understand and apply the forum etiquette a little better.0
