Help with Mortgage

Hi Everyone,
I'm Bi - Polar (rapid cycling) and have other medical problems. I've been out of work for 3 years - on long term Incapacity Benefit. I also get DLA.
Somehow we've kept the mortgage payments going. But it can't go on. My wife only works part time
I dread the thought of speaking to the lender and I don't cope very well if I think about speaking to the CAB (I get very anxious).
My wife has suffered all the pressure of coping with me. And I've promised to do something about the mortgage.
My wife for the sake of our daughter desperately doesn't want to sell the house - and there are very few rental houses available.
Can anyone tell me what help might be available?
If you can suggest any websites I would be very grateful.
Thanks so much for your help.

How much does your partner earn?

She earns about £19k a year
I receive -
Higher Rate Mobility
Middle Rate Personal Care0 -
You will most likely not be eligble for mortgage interest payments via benefits.
If she's earning £19k, you'll be getting about £4k in DLA and then there's child tax credits, working tax credit and also child benefit. It should work out at the thick end of £30k.
Do you feel like you've got a household income of £30k? If not, then you need to start to take a look at your finances to figure out what is going where. Pop over to the Debt Free Wannabee board - they seem to have marvellous ideas to save people money.0
