Prob a silly question but how do I know? I always thought economy 7 meant night storage heating?

My electric meter has a high and low reading though which someone previously said to me meant economy 7.

Please can someone help as Im trying to figure out who is best to switch to but need to know this to get an accurate comparison.

If you get billed two completely different prices on your bills/statements for the different readings, you are on E7. If not, you are just being billed on the standard single-rate.

E-on, with a digital meter gives me the 2 readings for Economy7 and 'normal'. E-on says that the E7 times are 00.30 to 07.30. If you are in any doubt get up say before 7.30 am and put the kettle on, go out and see your meter. The readouts are either 1 and 2 or H (high) and L (low). If you have E7 then of the 2 readings the lower one will always be the E7 tariff. The cost of E7 is always lower than 'normal'. Using only the washer and fridge my E7 use is about 25%.
