Wed 19th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :T
Morning!
Well, today is clear fluid only, exciting eh?! Not got anything on - giving college a miss. Will just make sure I'm packed for my trip:rotfl:
Girls are off to the ex-mil's tonight, boooo, I don't want them going tonight but I need to leave at 7am tomorrow so it's the best option.
Hope all having a good week - roll on the weekend eh?!;)
Ok, list:
Have a great day!!!

            Morning All
I suppose having nothing but water all day is quite DFW Milly? If it were me I'd stay indoors under the covers, if I went out I'd straight away be smelling bacon cooking or something else really tasty :rotfl: Best of luck anyway.
Another dull stay at home day for me
Until we know how this months figures will pan out I daren't spend anything. Popeye is getting so concerned he got up in the night and ran a few variations on a spreadsheet working out various scenarios. We haven't done that in a VERY long time, a timely reminder of how far we've come. This time it is to see if we can afford this car, rather than a credit card bill, so far less painful.
 So today:
Another NSD and a GND (Go Nowhere Day)
Make a cottage pie for the freezer for when I'm away
Make a prawn curry with the special offer prawns I have for tonight to cheer him up :kisses3:
Continue knitting the cardigan, which I now doubt is good enough to give as a gift, but is good practice
 Clicks and surveys
Write e-mails to friends to keep in touch
The old banger in the UK needs replacing with a less-old banger estate, and using Martins hints today I will apply for a 0% card to have in place for a car purchase in June.
Also entered the draw for a free South African Cookbook
Have a great day everyone :A0

            Morning all
good luck Milly - don't try and do too much, you'll be worn out with no food! At least it's MSE...
DNMs, what a stressful morning! And does your boss really think it's going to make you LESS stressed by criticising you for having time off when you needed it?? You had a sick note, did you not?? Don't let them bully you!
Mini MSE list for me today

 * transfer Amazon payment if it's arrived

Have finally listed my first ebay item in years! What a faff!
If it sells though it should get at least £130 (according to others being sold there today).
Wish I had more than one to sell (it's a Mont Blanc pen if you're wondering).0

            :hello:Hello everyone:hello:
Today is my second day on the DFW board wish I'd come here sooner. I did my SOA last night and La Escosea (sp?) suggested the small things thread, so here I am-sorry, no biscuits with me. wish I'd come here sooner. I did my SOA last night and La Escosea (sp?) suggested the small things thread, so here I am-sorry, no biscuits with me.
My plan today is as such:
-Watch my thread for more responses*
-Pose one or two more questions on my thread re PPI and bank fees.*
-Looking to be a NSD (try to keep it up)*
-Work out how to make birthday banner for DS birthday in June*
-Read a bit of the Ebay board (need educating see:) )
 -Change signature*
-Have a kick around the garden with DS and BUMP:D*
I also entered the South African recipe book giveaway, Im a saffer myself and figure I could do Vetkoek and bredie for the next few months until BUMP arrives, Im so big already I dont think anyone will notice a few more koeksisters around my belly-and shame of all shame, I do not posses these recipes myself.
Hope you will all bear with me whilst I get my head around who's who though-Ive never been very good at keeping up with posting. Its something I plan to work on as it really does keep me on the straight and narrow.
