price for an alternator on a 2001 scenic

anyone have any ideas on how much i should ecpect to pay for a new alternator fitted(by independant garage) on a 2001 renault scenic,

    "It depends". It depends on the hourly rate of the garage as much as the part. Be careful about them using reconditioned ones. I needed one replacing on my Mondeo and a brand new genuine Ford one with 12 months warranty from my Ford dealership was cheaper than a reconditioned one with 6 months warranty by £20.
