Hi, I have sent off the initial letter regarding a list of ppi payments to capital one, halifax, freemans and santander cards. So far Halifax have sent a list of all ppi payments amounting to £719, Capital One have requested I pay £10 for a sar. Freemans have written back saying that the total I have paid in ppi is £401, but they have not sent me a list of seperate payments so how do I know this figure is correct. Should I write to Freemans again requesting a full breakdown of payments?
Would the next step with halifax be to write and explain why I believe I was misold the ppi? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi there
Yes ask if they are able to send you any statements, but if you do want to request for a SAR they have 40 calendar days to comply and as you know they cost £10 postal order or cheque payment.
There is a SAR template letter here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
With a SAR, you should receive not just the statements, but everything they hold on you.
In regards of reclaiming the PPI, you can now send a questionnaire instead of a letter, these are quite new and recently issued by the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), complete and sent and keep copies in case you need to refer to it later on.
They have 8 weeks to respond in full.
You will find the questionnaire on the below link of "Stage one write to the seller".
Also on the link you will find useful info on mis selling reasons, check this out as well.

Hope this helps, also post within the post office to receive proof of posting.
Please keep us posted, good luck with this.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
