    You was the one who quoted about each estate agent having for sale two more properties i was just saying if your going by how many houses are for sale, i think you are going to see quite a few more than a average of 62 per estate agent.

    House prices gotta go down, especially where I live..... or my kids'll have to move to Aberdeen before they can buy. :eek:

    First it was the snow, then pre-election worries, then post-election worries - what's the next excuse for prices not even keeping up with inflation, the budget?

    To the the layman, this means prices are dropping in real terms.

    Don't bother posting your favorite graph, i'll just laugh.

    he's talking the number of house sales transactions not house prices...

    you know i know that once VAT goes up 2.5% that's another 2.5% on inflation... house prices will still rise less than inflation...

    but... what's been the average price rises and the average inflation rate in the last year not the last 2 months... i'll leave you to it.....

    Round my way I have noticed that a fair few no onward chain properties which have been on the market for months have gone under offer over the last week. I wonder what effect CGT etc will have.
