Wisteria wilting

Okay, I have done it, mass murder in the garden! A whole bottle of provado vine weevil killer diluted as per instructions (coudn't quite work out how many litres of compost I wish to treat in the open garden! probably would have needed more than 1 bottle!) spread around the wisteria, 1-2 m radius, not sure how fat the roots in the 6yr old plant reach.
Hadn't actually seen any weevils, but as there are other plants and lawn around the stem, I couldn't dig big deep hole.
Sprinkled the poorly strawberries as well, but not much point as not supposed to be used on edibles. Will dig them up and dispose of them later, will be interesting to see if actually any weevils in the container.
It goes against the grain to use such excessive chemical warfare, I'm not organic, but generally use as little chemicals as possible. Only the lily beetle I spray at first sight, after spending one year picking them off every day and still not winning against them.
Still, if it saves the wisteria, I'll be glad! Will keep you posted.
