selling broken car
Options
My dad's car is completely !!!!!!ed. Its 2004 Jeep Cherokee with about 160k on it. (he loves driving) At the minute there is problems with the electrics. It will drive for about 5 mins then all the lights start flashing then the thing conks out completely. He cannot be annoyed with it and wants to get rid of it. Would people buy a broken car or is there anywhere i should advertise? Theres bound to be someone out there who would do it as a project. having had nosey about a similar working car is going for around 6k would 3-3.5k be ok to expect for a broken one?

1500 is more realistic to be honest.0

Sound like a sensor is failing when warm, can you get it hooked up to a diagnostic machine, £200 on a repair will double or treble the sale value
Otherwise, it’s Ebay with an honest description or the auctions and hope it sells inside 5 mins0 -
Has he had it looked at by a garage? If their diagnostics computer is able to pin point the problem it may be an easy, relatively cheap fix. If not, then it is something an enthusiastic amateur may be able to track down with time and patience, and therefore definitely worth something if the rest of the car is mechanically sound.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

Ebay. Stick an ad on and honestly describe what is wrong with it. £3k is incredibly optimistic.0
