I have just been asked if i can do some relief work ,no specified hours..Basicly they phone if they need me...
Might have two shifts one week and nothing the next.. I would be covering when people are sick..
I lost my temp job and due to sign on for the first time 2moro..
Do i mention that this offer has been put to me...How does it work??
And have had so many problems with housing benefit i am worried it will affect this also........
All a bit confused about this..

You should definitely tell them. It'll probably be viewed as a positive thing as long as you make clear you're still looking for a permanent full time job. As long as average hours don't exceed 16 per week, you should still be paid in full even if hours in a couple of individual weeks exceed this. It's the average that's important. They'll get you to fill in your hours worked on a little form every time you go in to sign, it's not a big deal. If you're working over 16 hours a week for a few weeks in a row, they may ask you to sign off and make a rapid reclaim if your earnings drop below this level again in the future.Sealed Pot Challenge #239
