Comment on feedback

Hi All

Please can you tell me how you comment on feedback left for you as a seller by buyers.

I have received what I believe to be harsh feedback and what to respond, the buyer has never contacted me and complains that p&P was too expensive (charged £5.50 cost to post £5.05 - I dont consider this excessive) I'd have happily refunded the 45p had they contacted me!

Thanks for your help.

At the bottom of your Feedback page, is Reply to Feedback Received. 45p isn't a lot to add on to the actual price of postage. What did you use for packing?

You don't say if its a neg. If its a Positive including a comment about your P&P i wouldn't reply as all you'll acheive is to highlight it. A few more positives down the way and no one would notice

If its a neg I still would be in 2 minds if to comment or not as it will highlight it even more

Hi Thanks for the quick replies.

I used a small jiffy bag which granted was reused so techinically didn't cost me anything, but to be 45p out on postage surely is not the end of the world!! As i said I'd have happily refunded her the difference.

Its a neutral which I know to some people is nothing but its really annoyed me as I pride myself on honesty and integrity, and I just feel that I've never been given the chance to rectify the situation, if she's said she wasn't happy I'd have offered her a refund for the returned item. Instead she's just left neutral feedback??

One point that was raised in a recent thread, does your listing say you reuse packaging?

Suposedly some buyers dislike 2nd hand packaging and as the stars are for Post and packing will mark down because of it if they were not expecting it. Daft I know but the thread worried me enough that recently when I had to reuse some packaging as I didn't have a jiffy bag of the right size I actually emailed the buyer before posting to warn them and to refund the 'packing' part of the charge.

For goodness sake, I find £5.50 is reasonable if its £5.05 actual cost of posting. It is not excessive. Simply some people always focus on the negative never positive.

If its a neutral feedback, I'd ignore it as if you state anything it will highlight it. I do understand where you are coming from by taking care and pride in your honesty but sadly there is just no pleasing some people.

P&P - Postage and PACKAGING. Doesn't matter to me if you do reuse packaging materials - it all helps the environment. I've had a customer responded to me in feedback "Item exactly as described, postage box 2nd hand!". Just pathetic really as when I order in things, I don't give a monkeys what it came in, as long as its what I wanted in the item.
