London in January and West End shows

My friend and I are going to London for a few days as a belated birthday celebration for my 30th (a week before) and her 60th (just before Xmas).
We are thinking of attending at least one West End production. Is there a website telling me what shows are on certain dates or when a current production is going to end? I dont' want to get our hopes up for wanting to see (name of show) only to end in November!
Also could anyone direct me to some deals for hotels in central or Zone 2?

If there's a particular show you want, do a google search and you should get an 'official' site for the show or for the theatre it's at. That should give you details of bookings and will usually go for several months ahead so should tell you.
If you just want to have a browse for what's on and when try the following, which will let you put in dates, types of show, theatre etc (use the advanced search option)

You could look at the Holiday Inn 2 for 1 nights for your dates (says finishes Sept, but if you check it is available for Jan 2011).

For example Kensington forum is £50 per night for a twin bedded room for Fri 7 Jan to Sun 9 Jan and is in a good location to get to places like the Museums.0 -
Best to keep an eye on the £1 hoxton hotel deals and the devere's £10-£20 room offers.
Expedia have theatre and weekend breaks offers.
but bookmark your post and bump it later in the year as it gets nearer.0 -
Theatremonkey is a good website for reviews of shows and which seats are good.
See Tickets is OK for tickets.
Don't use any "Half Price Ticket" stalls in and around Leicester Square, except the Official TKTS booth at the bottom of Leicester Square......0
