Hi all,
I need a website building, for Performing Arts School, not complicated about 5 pages, a few images on the home page and some more on the "staff" page and a couple of documents that people can download and print off.
I have tried to do this in Dreamweaver and although it is ok I don't think it is very professonal. I am a Business Analyst, so no experience of actually buildiing a website...but I do know what I want.
I want to be able to update this myself in the future.
Can anyone recommend someone that is good and give me an idea of the cost?
Thanks
Theresa

I have experience in writing Dynamic HTML so if you don't find a 'real' website designer I'd be very tempted to have a go and can put in a quote so just let me know.
If you want I can send you a link to my personal hobby site.IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -

Hi Theresa
My son is starting out on his web development career and would enjoy putting your website together. He has created a few websites for local businesses with good feedback and has recently completed his work experience in a local web developmeny company where he is hoping to be offered a role in the near future. Meanwhile he is focussing on expanding his own business.
If you would like to have a chat with him just let me know and I will give you his contact details.
All the best

Remember stuff like contact forms, email subscriptions & newsletters.
There's a good site called webdesignforum.co.uk where you'll get hundreds of possible offers if you post on there.
They should be able to sort you out with a Wordpress type site where you can update the pages yourself.
Cost should be around £300 quid or so for you what you've listed.
With a good specification and with pictures and copy, a decent Wordpress designer will have it up in a week.0 -
Have to agree (I'm not a web designer, but have been exactly where you are) but there usually tends to be a lot more to it than first thought, I'd say it's well worth a chat with a local designer or one of the guys above0

Try "Office LIve" just google it to find the site.
Some are free, some just a few pounds a year. I had no knowledge of website design when I started and now enjoy doing pages for friends.
