I'd like to see the photo frame. You should go for total home made Xmas - start sewing the tablecloth and napkins now, and make the crackers out of toilet roll holders etc. :rotfl: I want to see how you come up with a 6ft Xmas tree though.

    QUOTE]

My mum always makes her own crackers... they always look a million times better than the shop bought ones and she puts in little presents specific to the person who's name is on the cracker... so if you win or loose if the cracker has your name on then it's yours! Little cheap things like stamps or lip gloss or lighters from the pound shop

The bangers don't always bang... and has become a bit of a family tradition to shout 'bang' when you are pulling one!!! Happy days!

I work for a company that produces these - if you think that some of the cracker contents are rubbish you should see some of the stuff thats left out :rotfl: absolute trash.

I just cant get the machine to thread cotton and do more than half a dozen stitches - its probably as much an operator error as anything else but I would like something a bit more user friendly. I have visions of making my own clothes /dazzling creations  . Machine destructions say I need to hold the bottom thread to the left and move the needle thingy with the top thread until it catches  . I dont really get it as you can probably guess.

as far as the threads go, hold the top one that goes through the needle, then twist the bit that makes the needle go up and down, the top needle should pick up the bottom one.

if your threads are snapping after a few stitches, check your instruction book for info on changing the tension of the thread. also check which make of thread you are using. i find silko threads are bad inthe machine, but you should be able to pick up guterman in john lewis they are the ones i use (also a brand called moon which we stock in work)
