was wondering if anyone knew a rough figure for this.
ive got an 06 plate toyota avensis and yesterday i stupidly reveresed into a large boulder. its scraped the bottom of the bumper where i went into it, and i dont know how else to describe it, but one of the side panels about the back passenger side wheel is loose, i can bang it into place with my first, but if i give it a gentle tug it comes loose again.
no one was hurt, and i dont think ive done any damage other than cosmetic, just want to see if its costly to get replaced. ive got it in for its mot tomorrow, would that be something that got picked up on?
thanks

it wont be picked up on the mot
best place to get a quote from is a body shop. it may cost you a new bumper plus paint
you're not talking the earth for that reallyYou got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.0 -
thats good that it wont be picked up on the mot, i was panicking for a moment there.
if its a couple of hundred or less i will get it done, if its more well its a 4 year old car, it will have some scrapes on it!
thanks0 -
make sure you thump it in place before the mot...otherwise it might be a issue
id say a new one with painting and fitting will be £3-400 easy
maybe keep an eye on ebay for a second hand one in the right colour ?0 -
I'll second trying ebay. Got one myself (the right colour too!) for £48 including delivery and easily fitted it myself. I was quoted £400 by a bodyshop...and that was 6 years ago!0

I've just had a quick look on ebay and there's a few for sale.0
