I had a little bump today (Bigger bump for other car) :(
Has a bit of cosmetic damage on the passenger side rear bumber and one of the reverse parking sensors!

Any idea of how much or what it takes to fix it? When i put it in reverse it says its 'faulty' or something.
A garage i went to today had a look at the cosmetic damage and pushed the sensor back in place! but can these just be reset? or will it all need replacing? and costs eek

It'll probably need a new sensor - and I'd bet being OEM sensors you'll need to buy a whole set :(

TBH with it being another family member's car I'd not put it through the insurance, it does sting for a while (I'm 19 with a fault claim and my insurance is hurting :rotfl:).

Might cost a fair bit but I imagine you have a large excess anyway?

Im 24, 1st accident and on my own drive! Gutted!
My insurance went from £30 to £65 ish when i got this new car! and had it a month!

My mums has a lot of damage, big dent in side of her car! but she said shes not bothered about hers haha! but i think it will cost loads to fix hers - maybe not even worth that much too!

Oh and my excess is about £500 i think inc voluntary excess too!

We had all workmen and vans around the house today having new boilers replaced etc!
I park infront of the house and was trying to watch the front of my car with the van on the end of the drive and the van next to it and didnt see my mum had parked the other side and reversed into the side of hers :(
Heard the beep and was too late :(

I could laugh at the fact you won't need to bother replacing the sensors... but I won't ;)

Hope you can get it sorted without it costing too much :)

You could probably get a replacement set of sensors from a Peugeot dealer however I don't know what the cost would be.

Failing that, the factory fitted sensors could be replaced by cheap aftermarket ones which would cost a lot less.

As for your mum's car, if it's just dented and there's not any damage to the paint (other than paint transfer from your car) - dents can often be pulled out successfully :)

I did a google around! Saw some cheap sensors even searching for peugeot and they are £40 ish! but dont know how much propper ones would cost!

I might ring the peugeot dealer ask for quotes tomorrow and ask around friends to get someone to do the work

My mums damage (Hyundai Couple SE - 1998) is Black, and damaged a little of the drivers door and mainly the side - looks like a big job as its like joined / whole side of the car etc rather than just a door, Hopefully they can be just pulled out!
