The first part of our ‘Elements’ photographic competition kicks off with the theme of ‘Air.’ It’s not a literal interpretation of air but more a theme to be applied loosely at a genre of landscapes that include perhaps big skies, dramatic clouds within a landscape or something which has an ‘airy’ feel to it. Whilst Colin will be looking for creative interpretations of this subject, don’t be inclined to think that the subject matter must all be about clouds or that an image must feature four fifths of sky. Use your judgment sensibly and if you feel you have images that fit the theme, please enter them. Colin will also be looking for images that go beyond the literal and that communicate in a deeper way. He kindly provided us with some of his own images to inspire and to give you a better idea of the types of photograph to enter.
The closing date for all entries is 20th May 2010 and the winner will be announced within 2 weeks.
The lucky winner will receive an Olympus E-PL1 camera as well as a limited edition Bowmore bottling.
The 2nd runner-up will win a limited edition Bowmore bottling and the 3rd runner-up a Bowmore jacket to keep you warm when outside perfecting your photography!
