  • I'll second that file_wizzard, Moorcroft were paid via my debit card for OH debt. They then decided to take more money the next month for his payment. When I phoned to complain they laughed in my face. I managed to get the account moved and they've passed it to CRAPQUEST. If only I had the money to pay it off I'd tell them where they could stick it.

DO NOT DO THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!! Wescot are well known for making "mistakes" once they have got hold of yours, or anyone else’s credit / debit card details.

You will also have no way of proving their offer of FULL & FINAL, and they will be chasing you for the rest next month ( if they haven’t already helped themselves to it from the card details they have!)

Please make sure you get their letter of full and final, and then pay over the counter or by cheque / postal order, again NEVER give any DCA yours or anyone else’s card details !

Fair enough guys with hindesight i have to agree with you. Just a suggestion though But you are right you need sumamt in writing first

Does anyone have any experience of a 'short settlement'? Rockwell have now told me that they don't do full and final but will consider a short settlement where my credit file will be marked 'satisfied' but the remaining balance not paid will be shown.
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!
