Car insurance for 17 year old Boy !! Help !!!

Hi all,

Recently passed my driving test and i am having trouble on finding a good insurance quote, I am a sensible lad and intend to drive within the law but why am being penalized before i have got behind the wheel..Anybody help..

(ideas??)

Parents driven for 30 years plus no claims or convictions
Dad is an ADI Instructor
Quotes seem deaer when adding my parents..why ?

Need a resonabile cheap'ish' quote any help will be much appriciated..

Try searching through the Insurance Board...there's lots of similar posts there.

Quinn was the by far the most reasonable when we did this last year. We have also taken their renewal quote this year as again is the cheapest. I know the story about them being in trouble but what can you do....

There is a whole article on here somewhere about how to find cheap insurance - including a section for young drivers. I found out about cheap insurance for my 17 yr old learner driver there.

Try a search in the main site. Mentions some innovative schemes (eg. i-Kube) where you get a tracker on your car and insurance is cheaper if you don't drive between 11pm and 6am or similar, with an extra charge each time you do drive in those hours.
