Re returns to cotton traders

Hi,
i have just ordered a few clothes from cotton traders . Some items were unsuitable and didnt look right,
i had to go queue at the post office for 15 minutes to send them back at a cost of £4.50 . It cost £3.99 for delivery so that is £8.49 for just 2 cheap tops , i think its very expensive .
It does say about returns but only in the help secion in small print at bottom of there website .
I have sent them a right stinker of an email.

Unfortunately if the info about returns is there, there's not much you can do - but I hope you get a refund :)

I always wait for free delivery codes to come through when I order from a website that doesn't offer it as standard, this way you can reduce the cost a little.
    My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.

Why send them a stinker of an email. Its hardly their fault.
The returns costs are there in the T & Cs and you accepted them when you placed your order.
You might have had a better chance of a refund if you had sent them an email just outlining the matter.
I hope you get a refund, but dont hold your breath.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

you won't get a refund - I ordered a shirt for hubby and THEY sent the wrong one- the item number on the invoice was the one I ordered, but the item sent was completely different
I called them to ask about a free returns label ( bearing in mind it was THEIR mistake) - nope - I had to pay about £3.50 to send their incorrect item back

also - I complained when my credit card was cloned after ONLY using it on their website to purchase some items - 6 fraudulent transactions later, i discovered that I was one of THOUSANDS of people whose details had been cloned after their poor website security allowed hackers in !!!!!!!
didn't even get a reply from them then

don't hold your breath - they are qyuck to take your money and absolutely rubbish at customer service

Under DSR you are entitled to your original payment back, so if you sent back your whole order, then you should receive your original payment including postage back..(but if you only sent back part of the order then you will struggle to get your original postage back)

In fairness, postage costs money and one of the reasons that Cotton Traders are able to offer such low prices on their clothing is presumably because they don't subsidise the cost of postage for customers who want to return items. I appreciate that it's annoying, but it's hardly worth a 'stinker' of an e-mail, and to be honest, I would expect a better response if you had sent a polite e-mail.
