Hi first post to the forum so here goes ..!
After reading the great tips on this site we switched to Talk Talk 3 International last month (with free broadband .. although it wasn't free for us it was £10 but that's still ok as it's miles cheaper than what we were paying for the BT service).
I noticed recently that Talk Talk now had the Talk 3 option (without the international bit) for £1 cheaper a month. As we don't phone anyone abroad I thought I might as well change to this option.
Have just phoned Talk Talk customer services only to be told that I would not be allowed to change calling plans for 18 months! When I signed up I accepted that I had to stick with Talk Talk for 18 months, but to stick to the same calling plan as well ....???
I got a bit irrate with the guy on the phone at Talk Talk
who was absolutely insistent that I had got it wrong and that I had actually signed up to staying with Talk Talk AND staying with Talk 3 international for 18 months ..!
Is it me being thick - does this sound right to others more expert than I am?
thanks for your advice!!
Gwen

Yep, that sounds like TalkTalk...
Only care about new customers. 0 -
You were given some dodgy advice - we changed call plan after only a couple of months.
This is what it says in their Broadband FAQ:
"You can change from Talk3 to Talk3 International (and vice versa) at any time. The change will come into effect on your next billing date."
(use their online contact us page :http://www.talktalk.co.uk/talktalk/servlet/gben-LLU-ContactUs

Didn't read too well, the advice is stay well away from TalkTalk.
Even the consumer show on BBC WM with Ed Doolan are having constant complaints about how poor TalkTalk is.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Will Martin stop endorsing this deal anytime soon, given the level of complaints??BexTech wrote:Didn't read too well, the advice is stay well away from TalkTalk.

just to report back I can confirm that following malc1603's recommendation I sent Talk Talk an e-mail yesterday asking to change tariff and received a reply today to confirm that I have now been changed from Talk 3 International to Talk 3!
Result! Thanks to malc16030 -
